Moushumi Chatterjee remembers running away during the filming of her first movie 'Balika Badhu'

Actress Moushumi Chatterjee recently took a trip down memory lane, sharing anecdotes from her debut film, the 1967 Bengali classic 'Balika Badhu'. Directed by Tarun Majumdar, Chatterjee reminisced about her youthful escapades during the filming process.

At the tender age of 12, Chatterjee embarked on her acting journey with 'Balika Badhu'. While initially thrilled by the new experiences, she soon found herself bored and began sneaking away from the set between shots, much to the amusement of the crew. To curb her wanderlust, the production team, with her father's consent, resorted to confining her in a glass room until she was needed for her scenes.

Chatterjee fondly recalled how director Tarun Majumdar, whom she regards as a father figure, would react to her on-set antics. In response to her mischief, Majumdar devised a light-hearted punishment, making her hold her ears and stand as a form of apology.
