Sir Tom Jones is set to give a big concert at the 2024 Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. His performance will mark the beginning of six days of evening concerts at the festival in Denbighshire. The lineup includes mezzo-soprano Katherine Jenkins and soul/jazz artist Gregory Porter. Other acts like folk band Calan and royal harpist Alis Huws will also take the stage.
You can buy tickets for the event, which takes place from July 2 to 7, starting this Friday. Sir Tom, the famous singer from Pontypridd, will celebrate his 84th birthday a month before his performance.
The festival will also feature competitions where choirs, dance groups, and young operatic talents will vie for top honors. The organizers are dedicated to keeping the familiar elements that loyal supporters love, such as the Choir of the World on Saturday evening, in addition to the performances by well-known artists.
