A couple of days ago, actor and director Rishab Shetty posted a casting call for the movie on social media. Actress Payal Rajput, who recently appeared in the horror movie "Mangalvaaram," has now shown interest in trying out for the role and asked to be considered for the role of Kantara: Chapter 1.
Men and women between the ages of 18 and 60 were invited to apply for the casting call, which was issued by the production company Hombale Films.

Rishab Shetty, who also acts as the film's primary lead, directed Kantara. The film tells the story of a man who grows up without a father and quickly becomes the next Bhoota Kola in the community. The 300CE customs and cultural practices are the central theme of the movie.
