Jay-Z and Beyoncé: That's what they almost named their daughter

 Blue Ivy was almost given a different name by Jay-Z and Beyoncé.

The power couple is raising five-year-old twins Rumi and Sir in addition to their eleven-year-old firstborn. The 53-year-old rapper and the 42-year-old pop icon had intended to call their first child Brooklyn, after Jay-Z's birthplace.

 The two stars changed their minds due to a moniker that arose during Beyoncé's pregnancy. Jay said on the US television show 'CBS Mornings that "she was actually going to be called Brooklyn." Blueberry was her nickname. 'Look at the small blueberry,' for example. It was simply a moniker. It appeared on its own. The berry was then painted and named Blue."

Although Queen Bey and her husband are among the most popular singers in the world, Blue Ivy was first unimpressed by her parents' celebrity. Only recently have Beyoncé and Jay-Z's children appeared to accept their parents' status as global superstars.

 "She used to go against me a lot," the 'Empire State of Mind' hitmaker continued. But now I understand. She asks if anything is cool, such as her sneakers."
